Raccoon removal along the creek that gave Fountain its name, still the town's most reliable wildlife travel route.
Call (844) 924-1337The creek that gave Fountain its name, Fontaine Qui Bouille, still functions the way riparian corridors do for raccoons across the Front Range: a direct, shaded route from open water straight into the yards and neighborhoods built up along its banks over the decades. A property sitting close to that corridor carries a noticeably higher raccoon risk than one a few blocks removed from it.
From there, a raccoon working its way off the creek bank tends to target the nearest older Fountain home with a chimney, a damaged soffit, or open crawl space access, which is part of why local raccoon calls follow such a predictable pattern along that one waterway. Live trapping and relocation, followed by sealing the entry point, is the general approach for raccoons denning in or around a home. Because raccoons can be defensive and carry health risks, this is usually safer left to a professional with proper equipment.
Securing trash cans and pet food can reduce yard visits, but recurring activity or a suspected den warrants a professional assessment rather than an attempt to handle the animal.
It depends on your local animal control's policies and the specific situation. Municipal programs may focus on strays or immediate public-safety concerns; check the local service scope and discuss property-specific raccoon activity with PestGuardians. Worth checking what your local animal control actually covers before assuming either way.
Pricing depends on your location, the removal work involved, and whether entry-point repairs are needed. Call PestGuardians to discuss the work needed in Fountain and request pricing for your situation.
