Snake removal for Durango, where foothill terrain at the edge of the San Juan Mountains overlaps with prairie rattlesnake habitat found across Colorado.
Call (844) 924-1337Spring and fall around Durango send prairie rattlesnakes looking for sun warmed ground to regulate their body temperature, and the terrain where the San Juan Mountains foothills give way to the developed edge of town is exactly the kind of open, rocky ground the species favors statewide. That overlap between foothill and residential ground is more direct in Durango than in a lot of Colorado towns, since the city's edge sits right against mountain foothill terrain rather than several miles of buffer.
Actual bites stay rare even in counties with well established rattlesnake populations, but a sighting along that foothill edge is worth treating as a real event rather than a one off. Call (844) 924-1337 to discuss pest control help in Durango and check service availability.

Keep a safe distance and avoid trying to catch or corner it yourself, especially if you're not sure of the species. Describe the sighting to PestGuardians; identification and an assessment of possible entry gaps can help determine the next step.
If it's a one-time sighting and the snake moves on its own, that's often the end of it. A snake that repeatedly appears in one area, or whose species is uncertain, warrants professional assessment; do not try to capture or relocate it yourself.
For a snake in or around your home, describe the sighting from a distance and discuss the identification and access concerns before removal is planned. Call PestGuardians to discuss your pest concern and check local service availability.
Snake removal pricing depends on your location, access conditions, and the circumstances of the sighting. Call PestGuardians to describe what you are seeing in Durango and ask about the service scope and pricing.
