Squirrel removal for Santa Rosa, where eastern fox squirrels move through mature, decades old tree canopy into aging rooflines.
Call (844) 924-1337California's eastern fox squirrel population goes back to an early twentieth century introduction, and more than a hundred years on, it's the tree squirrel most people in the state actually encounter, Santa Rosa included. The species does best where an established, shade tree neighborhood meets older housing, a combination common on Santa Rosa's long settled residential streets.
Homes built decades ago under that same canopy often develop the roof edge gaps, worn vents, and aging soffits a squirrel needs to reach an attic, and once it's in, wiring and insulation get chewed while daytime activity means residents usually hear something before they see it. Live trapping combined with sealing the entry point is the general approach, since squirrels can chew their way back in if the access isn't properly closed. An assessment should locate the entry point and nesting area before removal and exclusion work are considered.
Ground squirrels are typically addressed differently from attic squirrels, with a focus on burrow areas in the yard rather than the structure of the home. The extent and location of the burrowing help determine which control options are appropriate.
Pricing depends on your location, the removal work involved, and whether entry-point repairs are needed. Call PestGuardians to discuss the work needed in Santa Rosa and request pricing for your situation.
If the nest is inside a wall or attic, removal is usually handled alongside trapping the squirrel itself, since a nest can mean young are present. A professional assessment can help establish the extent of the activity and the appropriate next steps.
