Squirrel removal for Fountain Hills, covering both foundation burrowing rock squirrels in HOA neighborhoods and open desert ground squirrels near the preserve.
Call (844) 924-1337Fountain Hills splits its squirrel pressure between its manicured, HOA governed neighborhoods and the open desert bordering McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Rock squirrels are the ones turning up around golf course communities and irrigated subdivisions, burrowing against foundations, retaining walls, and patios throughout town. Round tailed ground squirrels stay out near the preserve boundary instead, favoring flatter, undeveloped ground where they can dig well below the surface.
Knowing which of the two is involved matters because only the rock squirrel can climb, so a property backing up to the preserve typically needs a different trapping and sealing plan than one inside a landscaped HOA community. Live trapping combined with sealing the entry point is the general approach, since squirrels can chew their way back in if the access isn't properly closed. An assessment should locate the entry point and nesting area before removal and exclusion work are considered.
Ground squirrels are typically addressed differently from attic squirrels, with a focus on burrow areas in the yard rather than the structure of the home. The extent and location of the burrowing help determine which control options are appropriate.
Pricing depends on your location, the removal work involved, and whether entry-point repairs are needed. Call PestGuardians to discuss the work needed in Fountain Hills and request pricing for your situation.
If the nest is inside a wall or attic, removal is usually handled alongside trapping the squirrel itself, since a nest can mean young are present. A professional assessment can help establish the extent of the activity and the appropriate next steps.
