Squirrel removal for Florence, covering both foundation burrowing rock squirrels downtown and open field ground squirrels along the Gila River valley.
Call (844) 924-1337Florence's older downtown and the farmland running along the Gila River valley each draw a different squirrel. Around the historic town center, rock squirrels work their way into gaps beside aging foundations, retaining walls, and patios that have shifted over decades of settling. Out past town, where fields and open desert lots stretch along the river valley, round tailed ground squirrels dig their burrows several feet into undisturbed soil instead.
Rock squirrels climb and round tailed squirrels don't, and that single difference changes the whole exclusion plan, especially on an older Florence property where a foundation may already have settling cracks a squirrel can exploit. Getting the species right before sealing or trapping starts avoids wasted work on the wrong kind of opening. Live trapping combined with sealing the entry point is the general approach, since squirrels can chew their way back in if the access isn't properly closed. An assessment should locate the entry point and nesting area before removal and exclusion work are considered.
Ground squirrels are typically addressed differently from attic squirrels, with a focus on burrow areas in the yard rather than the structure of the home. The extent and location of the burrowing help determine which control options are appropriate.
Pricing depends on your location, the removal work involved, and whether entry-point repairs are needed. Call PestGuardians to discuss the work needed in Florence and request pricing for your situation.
If the nest is inside a wall or attic, removal is usually handled alongside trapping the squirrel itself, since a nest can mean young are present. A professional assessment can help establish the extent of the activity and the appropriate next steps.
