Carpenter ant control usually starts with locating the nest, which may be outdoors, indoors, or both, and identifying any moisture-damaged wood that's attracting them. A carpenter ant inspection should locate the nest and assess entry points, trails, and moisture before treatment is planned.
Carpenter ant colonies often have satellite nests separate from the main colony, which can be easy to miss without a thorough inspection, and the wood damage involved can worsen if the source isn't fully addressed. An inspection can help establish the extent of the nesting activity rather than treating visible ants and assuming the rest of the colony is gone.
Treatment can eliminate carpenter ant activity, especially when it targets the actual nest rather than just the ants seen foraging. Results depend on correctly locating the nest, or all of them if there are satellite nests, which is part of why a thorough inspection matters. Ask PestGuardians what to expect for your specific situation.
Carpenter ant control pricing depends on your location, the extent of the activity, and whether one or several nests need attention. Call PestGuardians to discuss the work needed in Athens and request pricing for your situation.
